In the spotlight for the 2nd Theater Signal Brigade is US Army Staff Sgt. Drake Green, Senior SATCOM System Operator-Maintainer, 102nd Strategic Signal Battalion.
Staff Sgt. Green exemplifies excellence as a noncommissioned officer by inspiring others, achieving the highest company score on the Army Combat Fitness Test, and providing comprehensive training to all Soldiers.
Staff Sgt. Green, a Soldier who embodies the Army ethos of “Be All You Can Be,” demonstrated exceptional performance by earning the title of NETCOM’s Best Squad Participant, where he demonstrated exemplary leadership and tactical skills.
In addition, he was instrumental in the careful planning and execution of the company’s situational tactical training courses and thus made a significant contribution to the unit’s preparation and operational readiness.
In addition, his commitment to excellence was evident when he aced the Advanced Leader Course, graduating with honors, earning a well-deserved spot on the Commandant’s List, and receiving the prestigious Iron Soldier award. (US Army photo by Candy Knight)
