Elizabeth Pipko: Vibes don’t make things cheaper or safer

RNC national spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko joins Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla to shed light on the major flaw in Vice President Kamala Harris’ evasive media strategy.

“I think there are a lot of people on both sides of the aisle who look at politics like a sport today. Right? They have their team and they want them to win, no matter what the cost and what that means. So you’re absolutely right there. And there are people who say, hide them in a basement, the same basement that works for the other guy, and hope to God it works. But there are people they have to recruit from the middle, right? There are people who say, wait a minute, I don’t like Donald Trump. But the last four years have been really, really, really bad. I have to look at the other side now and consider my options. And the fact is, whether you like him or hate him, Donald Trump is willing to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere. It doesn’t matter. Left, right. It doesn’t matter if you give him a few prepared questions and answers beforehand like everybody else gets. That’s just the way he is. And I think when you look at politicians, potential politicians for you, it’s not just about what their answers are. It’s also about them believing they owe these answers to the people. That’s a very basic transparency. We look to celebrities and hope they do that for us. If our political leaders don’t do that, they don’t deserve our vote. And I really think that people in the middle are seeing that, wondering that, and waiting for that to change, because it’s quite offensive to them, frankly.”

Jimmy and Elizabeth also weigh in on the overall lack of substance at this week’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
