Musk now wrote to X: “I will be doing some system scaling tests tonight and tomorrow in advance of the call with @realDonaldTrump.”

Musk obviously expects the interview to attract a lot of users and is therefore trying to make sure that X does not crash.

Musk also announced that the interview will take place on August 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

What is a scalability test?

Scalability testing is a non-functional software testing method that examines applications and infrastructure for their performance under increased or decreased workload. According to Radview, “A scalability test is a type of stress test that measures the application’s ability to scale up or down in response to an increase in the number of users. In other words, it tests how the system behaves under a sudden increase or decrease in the user request load.”

Scalability testing is performed to ensure that the system can respond to the changing requirements. It is also performed to ensure that smooth performance is maintained for the users while optimizing development and operational costs.

Radview says, “Scalability testing is performed using various parameters such as network or CPU utilization correlated with the number of users or transactions per second to determine the exact reasons why a system cannot be scaled up or down.”

Musk officially endorsed Trump on the same day that the former president survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump was shot and killed when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at the rally. Two other people were injured and one attendee – 50-year-old firefighter Corey Comperatore – lost his life.

“I fully support President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” Musk wrote on X at the time, sharing a video of Trump raising his fist and saying “fight” after being shot at the rally.
