Emily Ratajkowski presents the greatest hairstyle of all time

In this job, I’ve seen a lot of hairstyles – and super-big ones at that. Just scroll through my author bio (modest advertisement) and you’ll be inundated with numerous transformations, a la your favorite celebrity, of course. In all my years of writing and raving about said hairstyles, however, I’ve never seen one as big as Emily Ratajkowski’s recent hairdo… a big statement, I know, but even bigger hair… (sorry).

Just 24 hours ago (August 26th to be precise), EmRata unveiled her latest magazine cover shoot on Instagram and it is perhaps our favorite photo of her so far. The model graces the cover of Perfect Issue 07 of the magazine with a voluminous XXL blowout, cleverly created by a three-person team.

Luigi Murenu directed the hair operation, while hairdressers Gonn Kinoshita and Lorenzo Barcella perfected Ems Extra Extra big castles.

The art of beauty is not to be taken lightly, folks!

In a subsequent video post, a person on set asks Emily four questions – the first being, “Who are you today?” In response, the celebrity says, “My character is Raquel Welch, a Sophia Loren-inspired girl with the biggest head of hair I’ve ever had in my life.”

In the 1960s, the two actresses mentioned above – Raquel Welch and Sophia Loren – were known not only for their skills on screen, but also for their hair off screen. Think: volume and fullness for DaysSo we can totally see what inspired the team for Emily’s cover look.

One can only wonder what secrets lie beneath all these layers… I have no idea.
