An employee at a phone repair service in Oklahoma City allegedly sent himself an explicit video from a woman’s phone

The incident recently occurred in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Now, the phone repairman has been arrested and charged with theft and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. COCO.

Accordingly COCOthe victim went to The Fix in Penn Square Mall on a Friday afternoon to get her phone screen fixed. It happens to the best of us. While repairs are rarely cheap, they are doable. She was reportedly on her MacBook during the repair and received a conversation notification. Odd, since she had not been on her computer with anyone and her phone was not in her possession. COCO reported that the text message contained an explicit video taken from her phone and sent to an unknown number.

She didn’t have to do much detective work, a lot of it was apparently done for her. According to COCOthe employee eventually gave her the phone back, along with his business card with his name and number on it. Coincidentally, the number on the card matched the number of the random phone number in the text message earlier.

It sounds like the man accessed a locked photo album from her phone while he had access to it and then allegedly sent an explicit video from her phone to his, per COCO. The suspect has since been identified as Kayahan Altun. He has since been booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center and charged with theft and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

It’s scary when something like this happens! You always know it can happen when you take your phone in for repair and give your phone password to a stranger, but you never expect it to happen to you!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. 13 years after graduating, he was named Clarkston High School’s 2009 class clown. That’s totally normal. He owes that to his time as an intern at Comedy Central and as a social media correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy all over the country, both stand-up and sit-down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on the radio and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also completely uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So basically anything and everything.
