“Expedition X” returns: Stream the Season 8 premiere online for free

“Expedition X” returns with new episodes of Season 8, beginning tonight, Wednesday, August 14, at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on Discovery Channel.

You can watch the show live for free on Philo or DirecTV Stream. Each service offers a free trial to new customers. Additionally, Sling offers special deals for new subscribers.

In tonight’s episode 1, titled “The Madhouse,” Josh, Phil, and Heather visit what is said to be the most haunted place in America, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. It’s a place that has witnessed immense trauma, including thousands dying due to disturbing medical practices.

Which streaming services offer the Discovery Channel?

Season 8 of Expedition X can be streamed on Philo, FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, all of which carry the Discovery Channel.

Philo offers 70+ channels for $28/month after the free trial ends. DirecTV Stream offers 75+ channels for $79.99 after the free trial ends. Sling TV’s Blue service ($40/month) also offers the channel and is currently 50% off for the first month.
