Experience free concerts and community with Levitt Arlington’s fall program

by Drew Shaw, Arlington Report
26 August 2024

School has started again, temperatures remain stubbornly high, and pumpkin spice can be found on every store shelf.

Fall is upon us, bringing a new concert schedule to Levitt Pavilion Arlington. Free downtown concerts continue Labor Day weekend beginning August 30, with a headline show by country and Americana artist Ray Wylie Hubbard.

The Levitt Pavilion Arlington has been a downtown fixture since 2006. The venue is part of the Levitt Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that presents free concerts for communities across the country.

The Arlington venue hosts national and local artists and signs over 100 artists annually, and welcomed 71,550 concertgoers in 2023.

Letatia Teykl, executive director of Levitt Arlington, said the fall program features a diverse group of artists from across the state and country. She believes the program aligns with the Pavilion’s mission to provide high-quality, free live music to Arlington visitors and residents without having to drive down a freeway.

“You don’t have to go to the big cities,” Teykl said. “If you want live music, you can stay here and find everything.”

In the fall schedule, Levitt Arlington officials highlight upcoming shows including singer-songwriter Josh Weathers on Sept. 27, the UTA Jazz Orchestra on Sept. 29, the Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Oct. 5 and the Asian Heritage Celebration on Oct. 19.

The season will continue Levitt Arlington’s “Share the Stage” initiative, which showcases local artists as opening acts and streams concerts live on Facebook and YouTube.
