If you’ve got it, you’ve got it. At least that’s what we think now, after watching a golden retriever named Drake go from being a typical puppy to a real-life TV star. The dog himself was completely surprised by his new fame, as you can see in a hilarious clip posted online.
Drake recently made his TV debut. First stop: the local news. Next stop: Hollywood.
We can see it all already: Drake’s name in the spotlight, his appearances on late-night talk shows, and one day he’ll win an Oscar! Okay, maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. But this good boy is made for the camera. We know that for sure.

In the footage shared by his owner, the dog is seen sitting in front of the family’s laptop, completely unaware that he would soon become very, very famous.
“Is that daddy?” his mom asked from behind the camera. Drake looked so surprised. What was daddy doing on the human’s light pad (aka her laptop)?
But the dog looked really damn confused when he appeared on the screen. What the hell is going on here?!
“Drake was interviewed and then he literally recognized himself on TV,” his owner wrote in the caption. “Thanks Bally Sports for the cool interview with Drake!!”
Poor Drake, he wasn’t ready for all that quick fame. Thankfully, people in the comments section were already his biggest fans. “His little dog is just gorgeous lol,” one person teased. “His expressions make me laugh. This made my day. He’s a sweet guy,” one person praised. “I like how Drake looks back and forth between the screen and people to see if it’s real. How did you go from there to the small screen?? Cute,” another commenter agreed.
Drake is something of an ice rink star
His television appearances are not his only claim to fame. Drake has built up a huge online fan base through his talents on the hockey rink – after all, his father Ivan Provorov is an NHL defenseman for the Philadelphia Flyers.
In a video shared on his page, the golden retriever can be seen chasing a hockey puck with his father on the ice rink. He even opened the door to the rink all by himself.
“Drake learns something new every day at the rink,” his owner joked in the video caption.
Drake is truly a miracle. He is so talented. We can only hope he gets over the shock of being a star and continues to share his talent online.
