THE REPAIR Shop has sparked concern among fans after a popular expert was missing from a promo image for the latest season of the BBC show.
Steve Fletcher was nowhere to be seen in the photo posted on The Repair Shop’s official Instagram page.
The 61-year-old watchmaker has been a guest expert on the BBC show since 2017. Over the years, viewers have been impressed by his incredible watchmaking skills as they watch him transform precious timepieces.
However, after a promo image previewing new episodes of the BBC show was posted online, fans feared he would not return to the stable.
Fellow experts Brenton West, Dominic Chinea, Will Kirk, Kirsten Ramsay and Steve’s sister Suzie Fletcher posed alongside The Repair Shop presenter Jay Blades in the picture, which was uploaded to the BBC show’s official Instagram page.
Announcing exciting details about new episodes of The Repair Shop, it said: “More repairs. More stories. More memories restored. All-new episodes of The Repair Shop start airing August 14 on BBC One and iPlayer.”

However, with Steve missing from the photo, fans couldn’t focus on the announcement and quickly flooded the comments section with concerned comments.
“Where the hell is Steve?” wrote one concerned fan.
Another said: “I love this show. Steve is missing from the photo!”
A third commented similarly: “I’m currently getting episodes on YouTube but I’ll watch them where I can. I love this show. Also, where’s Steve?”
Other viewers even tagged Steve in the comments, hoping for an update.
However, fans should not worry, as the announcement seems to only use an old picture in which Steve is not visible.
Before the premiere of the current 13th season, which aired in April, the same image was posted on The Repair Shop’s social channels. Although Steve is missing from the photo, he returned to screens.
Since there is no announcement of his exit from the show, viewers can expect to see him back in the stables next week.
Presenter Jay Blades will also be back in the stable when the series returns. Jay, 54, was absent from the show earlier this year as he took a temporary break following the split of his marriage.
Since then, however, he has made an epic comeback on TV, committing to a number of new projects, including teaming up with entertainment icon Dame Judi Dench for the one-off Channel 4 show Dame Judi & Jay: The Odd Couple, which airs on Sunday 18 August at 9pm.
