Fans react to Drake’s surprise release of “100 Gigs For Your Headtop”

In case you missed it, yesterday Drake quietly released “100 Gigs For Your Headtop,” a wild, robust archive dump featuring three unreleased songs, all kinds of artwork, stills, and arguably the best part—something fans believe is never-before-seen video content.

This is how it went down and this is what fans say after the holy grail of Drake content:

An IG profile presumably run by Drake or his team posted a link to a website titled “100 Gigs For Your Headtop,” which, as mentioned, contains 100 gigabytes of content related to the multi-hyphenated Toronto artist.

The eclectic collection includes everything from studio sessions to behind-the-scenes looks at iconic music videos like “Hotline Bling” and “What’s Next.” The videos also feature various Toronto landmarks, such as Yonge-Dundas Square, Ripley’s Aquarium, and scenes filmed inside a TTC subway car.

The Gram account, which was apparently created in June, simply “popped up” lol during Drake’s ongoing rap feud with Kendrick Lamar, fueling speculation among fans.

But music is a must, right? The website “100 Gigs For Your Headtop” also features three new tracks: “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto, “Blue Green Red” and “It’s Up,” a collaboration with 21 Savage and Young Thug.

The treasure trove of content also included private clips from Drake’s career, including a video of Lil Wayne taking him to a concert in Toronto early in his career and footage of Drake recording the opening track of his second album *Take Care*, “Over My Dead Body,” in a hotel room.

Phew, chili… Some of the most talked-about moments include a throwback video of Drake and Rihanna rehearsing their duet “Take Care” at a time when rumors about their relationship were circulating, and another clip in which Drake confides in his mother, Sandy Graham, that his song “Too Good” is about tennis star Serena Williams.

“When I write songs about women, I’m also writing songs for them… When I talk about them, at least I’m doing them justice by writing a song that they like,” Drake explained to his mother. “I know Serena very well and I know she’s going to hear it loud and clear, but she’s also not going to hate me for it because it’s lighthearted.”

As expected, the surprise release stunned fans, with many praising the content as a vivid display of Drake’s artistic prowess.

“Drake releasing 100 gigs from his archive is absolutely insane,” commented one user on X (Twitter). “This might be one of the smartest moves I’ve seen from an artist in a long time.”

Another user added: “100 gigs is good content. Yes Drake got beat in that rap battle but I’m glad people remember he’s still a great artist.”

“Drake just released 100 gigabytes of history,” another user proclaimed. We agree.

“After taking time to process ‘100 Gigs For Your Headtop’, it’s clear that Drake has delivered once again,” wrote one fan. “The OVO boss has uniquely released three quality tracks that are sure to heat up the summer.”

Let’s be honest. Feel what you want, but nobody does that, has done that, and is going to look weird trying to copy what Drake just did. Period.
