Fans shower Portable with praise as he repairs road in Sango (Video)

Fans of controversial Nigerian singer Portable have praised him for his road repairs in Sango-Ota.

The street singer took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself bringing a tractor into the state to fix the bad roads, revealing that he was planning to buy a new car and therefore needed to fix the road. Portable called the car a presidential car, noting that the road in Nigeria was too bad and would ruin his new car which was difficult to repair as it was imported.

Portable said he had money and was repairing the road. He had done a lot in the past, especially when he bought his G-Wagon, but had to stop for unknown reasons.

“Presidential engine. I have levelled the road. My American engine must not break down because there is no mechanic for it in Nigeria. If it breaks down, who will fix it? It is bad for Nigerian roads when American engines break down. That is why I have levelled the road; I and others are doing it.

Because I have money, I can repair the road. I used to repair roads, but now I’ve stopped. When I bought my G-Wagen, I stopped. Now I want to buy a presidential car and I have to repair the road.”

In his comments section, many of his fans praised him and stressed that this was no small feat, while others wondered if he had received permission from the government to do so.

A few weeks ago, Portable had taken the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, to task after his Range Rover almost died when it fell into a ditch on a bad road in Sango-Ota. The controversial singer, who is not afraid of anyone, had told the governor to vacate his post if he cannot fix all the bad roads, stressing that Yayi was the better candidate to succeed him.

He later claimed that he had received a compensation of 2 million naira for his efforts with the governor and revealed that the governor had promised to repair all bad roads in the state.

To confirm the governor’s promise, Portable visited the Atan-Lusada-Agabara road project and commended the government.
