FMG Repair Services has upgraded its mobile repair vans with state-of-the-art vehicle diagnostics and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) recalibration equipment.
This new technology, delivered through a collaboration with diagnostic specialist A1 ADAS Solutions Group, helps streamline mobile repairs by eliminating the need for external diagnostic reports.
The new devices enable FMG’s mobile repair technicians to carry out comprehensive vehicle scans before and after repairs. This eliminates the need to involve external service providers to carry out diagnostic scans.
The equipment also enables technicians to independently perform ADAS recalibration after repairs, further reducing vehicle downtime.
Carl Manton, FMG Repair Services Operations Manager and Transformation Programme Lead at FMG Repair Services, said: “Our mobile repair technicians have extensive experience in all areas of vehicle repair. By equipping them with the latest technology, we can improve the customer experience and make mobile repairs faster and smoother.”
FMG carries out mobile repairs using dynamic mobile repair pods at the driver’s home or workplace, repairing damage to up to four body panels and typically completing the work within three to four hours. Work can be carried out on medium wheelbase, low roof light commercial vehicles. Solutions include lights, fenders and bumpers, supported by integrated colour match painting technology.
