Foley-based Dream Center receives $10,000 CFSA grant

Foley-based Dream Center of Baldwin County received a $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of South Alabama to support its mission to assist underserved youth through counseling, mentoring, tutoring and prosocial activities.
The Dream Center serves all of Baldwin County and is committed to providing a place where underserved youth ages 12 to 18 can find hope and healing.
“The world is different for these children today and we want to give them every opportunity to succeed,” said Joe Aldrete, executive director of the Dream Center.
The grant will support case managers in implementing their evidence-based programs and provide meals and activities to Dream Center participants.
“We believe in the power of young minds to transform our community,” said Rebecca Byrne, President and CEO of SFSA. “By investing in their growth and potential, we are laying the foundation for a better future for all.”
