For the first time in Israel: hair transplants by robot

Is the field of hair transplantation facing a revolutionary change?

In the coming weeks, the NUYU Clinic (part of the Winkler Clinic, founded by Professor Eyal Winkler) will open in Israel, offering precise, sterile and faster hair transplants using the AI-based robotic system ARTAS. The system offers improved precision and sterility, and significantly reduces both recovery and treatment time compared to traditional methods.

For the first time in Israel, hair designers and innovative technologies are also being incorporated into the process to replicate the patient’s natural hairline, achieving maximum personalization, a significant improvement over traditional transplants.

The service in Israel will be led by senior dermatologist Dr. Adi Rubin Ben Yoav, who will serve as NUYU’s medical director. According to Dr. Ben Yoav, “The new technology allows the medical team to achieve the most precise results possible today. Patients, including those who have undergone traditional transplants, report high levels of satisfaction with the treatment, recovery time and, most importantly, the results. In addition to the clear benefits of the system, the opportunity we have created for each patient to involve their personal hairdresser or close companion in choosing their hairline has been described by patients as a groundbreaking innovation.”

In addition to the “Winkler Clinic”, the company is co-managed by entrepreneurs Assaf Winkler and Alon Biton. They explain: “This is a state-of-the-art medical technology system that will revolutionize the field of hair transplants. The NUYU Clinic offers a holistic approach with unique developments in hair care for every stage of the patient’s treatment, including preventative treatments, daily care products, hair transplants and post-transplant support, all with the highest level of medical care and responsibility on the part of the Winkler Clinic.”

They also emphasize: “ARTAS’ advanced robotic technology dramatically improves patient experience and satisfaction, as well as physician skills. The device features artificial intelligence, a high-resolution stereoscopic multi-camera imaging system, and the world’s most advanced medical hardware.”

The hair transplant industry in Israel is valued at over one billion shekels annually. More than 20,000 Israelis undergo hair transplants each year, most of them in special facilities in Turkey. However, with the current strained relations between Israel and Turkey, tens of thousands of Israelis are looking for alternatives without having to leave the country. Combined with the accelerated technological advances in healthcare thanks to AI, NUYU is expected to quickly become a major player in the field.
