Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Release Date, TIME, Server Maintenance, Battle Pass, New Map | Gaming | Entertainment

Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4 Ultimate Doom is making its debut soon on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Android, and Nintendo Switch. The new Fortnite season, which includes the return of Marvel characters and interesting locations, has an August 16 release date on all platforms. Unfortunately, however, the new Fortnite content will only be playable after a server maintenance period for Battle Royale, Creative, LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing. According to Epic Games, the current Fortnite season will end at 4am BST UK time on the morning of August 16, and downtime will begin shortly after. Based on previous Fortnite seasons, downtime is expected to last longer, so don’t expect the game to come back online until around 10am BST, or maybe even later. Likewise, the file size of the 31.00 update will be larger than usual, meaning you may need to free up some storage space to download and install the new patch.

The news was announced by Epic Games at X along with a preview of what to expect from Chapter 5, Season 4.

“Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 will now end on August 15 at 11:00 PM ET and we will begin maintenance for v31.00 shortly thereafter,” Epic said in a tweet.

“To help you get to the finish line, all players will be boosted to the next three XP levels starting August 13th at 9:00 AM ET until the end of the season!”

The new season was actually unveiled at a recent end-of-season event where the return of Doctor Doom was confirmed.

In addition to Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom, the new Fortnite Battle Pass includes a Gwenpool skin, as well as War Machine and Peelverine, the latter of which is a Wolverine variant of Peely.

There are also Emma Frost, Shuri and Mysterio as well as a Captain America version of Jonesy called Captain Jonesy.

Speaking of the Battle Pass, fans will be able to purchase items from the next BP at some point in the future. While seasonal skins have only been available with the Battle Pass so far, Epic plans to bring these exclusive items to the shop for fans who missed out on them.

The Fantastic Four will also join the Item Shop sometime during Chapter 5, Season 4.

As you can see from the tweet above, Castle Doom, Doomstadt and The Raft are among the new locations of interest.

The train will also return and attentive viewers of the trailer were able to spot a landmark of Galactus.

In addition, different weapons will be introduced throughout the season and one or two favorites will also return.

There’s Captain America’s shield, Peelyverine’s claws and Gwenpool’s blades, as well as Shuri’s Mythics, Iron Man’s gloves and Stark Industries’ energy rifle. War Machine’s jetpack and turret will also be included.

Other new weapons include dual SMGs, a new version of the sniper rifle, a new one-handed pistol, the Silent Scar and Heavy AR.

It goes without saying that Fortnite Battle Royale isn’t the only game mode getting new content as part of Chapter 5, Season 4.

The rhythm action spinoff Fortnite Festival will add Karol G to the game as part of the Festival Pass for Season 5.

Epic further explains: “Players looking for Karol-themed items – including the Bichota Season Karol G Outfit, Bichota Microphone, Bichota Six-String Guitar, and ‘QLONA’ Jam Track – can purchase the Season 5 Festival Pass Premium Reward Track for 1,800 V-Bucks to begin unlocking Karol G rewards without the need for additional quests.

Fortnite Festival will also feature a special playable Karol G concert experience starting at 8pm CEST on Friday, August 23rd.

According to Epic Games, the playable concert is a “five-part visual journey through Karol G’s life and music career.”

Daily Express will keep this article updated with all new content and latest information, so keep checking back for more updates on Chapter 5 Season 4.
