GOLDSBORO, NC (WITN) – Officers in the East area arrested four people in connection with a robbery in Goldsboro on Friday.
Goldsboro police said they were called to Dick’s Sporting Goods at 505 Eastgate Drive in reference to a grand larceny.
They say that after receiving a description of the suspects and the vehicle, they found the car traveling west on US 70 and attempted to make a traffic stop.
The suspect refused to stop his car for officers, leading to a 22-mile chase after Wilson.
According to police, four people got out when the car stopped, while two suspects fled the scene on foot but were caught.
An investigation revealed that over $5,700 worth of merchandise had been stolen from Dick’s Sporting Goods, JC Penny, Ross and TJ Maxx, but had resurfaced.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office filed additional charges.
According to police, the following suspects were returned to Goldsboro where they were arraigned and brought before the Justice of the Peace:
