Free and open to the public: Concert by the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet (September 16)

This event is free and open to the public, providing music lovers of all ages with the perfect opportunity to experience live jazz from a group of top-notch musicians. About the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet

Since 1990, the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet has delighted audiences throughout Florida with its dynamic performances at concerts, jazz clubs, private events and jazz festivals, including the New Smyrna Jazz Festival, Images Festival and Avalon Park Jazz Fest. The quintet’s repertoire includes jazz standards, Latin jazz, fusion and Dixieland and is tailored to captivate each individual audience.

The quintet is comprised of experienced professional musicians who also perform at Orlando’s theme parks. The group’s leader, Andrea Rowlison, is a groundbreaking trombonist and vocalist. She has the honor of being the first trombonist to perform with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra, the Harry James Orchestra, and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Andrea has also graced the stage at Lincoln Center with Sam Rivers and performed on the Today Show with the Universal Studios Band.

The quintet’s guitarist is a professor of jazz guitar at the University of Central Florida, and their multi-Grammy-winning bassist is a longtime musician for Disney. The drummer, who also serves as music director at Holy Family Catholic Church, performs alongside his wife, Danielle, who is the group’s cantor and vocalist.

Over the years, members of the Music Remembrance Jazz Quintet have shared the stage with legendary artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nancy Wilson, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Ray Charles, Tito Puente and many others.
