History of Whataburger
Whataburger, the iconic fast-food chain known for its orange-and-white striped buildings and freshly made burgers, is celebrating over seven decades of delicious goodness. Founded on August 8, 1950 by Harmon Dobson, the first Whataburger opened its doors right here in Corpus Christi.

Although Dobson tragically passed away in 1967, his legacy lived on as Whataburger continued to expand across the United States.
