Back to school season is here, and luckily, there are sales, school supply giveaways, and free backpacks throughout August that can help your little one get ready for the first day of school, which in Philadelphia is August 26.
Check out the fundraisers below and connect with your community. Many back-to-school events promote their events locally or through social media. Local schools, churches and community organizations also host free school supply raffles. Remember that many of these events offer free giveaways until supplies run out.
Philadelphia School District Back to School Bus Tour
In August, you can receive free backpacks and school supplies at the district’s back-to-school events, pre-registration immunization clinics and registrations for preschool through 12th grade, and receive important updates about the upcoming school year.
