Trash Trivia & Trash Free Waters short film premiere

Palafox St. Attend the premiere of the Trash Free Waters short film, a live poetry reading by Nate Schweigert and trash trivia with event organizers. Bands on the beach

Tuesday, August 27, 7 p.m. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series, featuring artists for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series offers an eclectic musical experience all summer long. This week, featuring Cristi Dee’s Bad Juju. Lecture series “Heroes Among Us”

6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Launched in 2013, the “Heroes Among Us” series features individuals from all branches of military service. The goal is to let these heroes share their experiences with others, including civilians and military veterans as well as active duty members. Jazz and poetry performance

7 p.m., Thursday, August 29. Artel Gallery, 223 Palafox Place. Jazz Pensacola presents an artistic evening featuring members of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra performing selections from the 1955 album “Clifford Brown with Strings,” including poems by Pensacola poet Deborah Layman, and a local art exhibit from the Artel Art Gallery. Petal & Pulse Music Festival

Friday, 6 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m., August 30 and September 1. Perfect Plain Brewing Co., 50 E. Garden St. Celebrate Garden & Grain’s fifth anniversary with a music festival featuring local DJs, bands, entertainers and more. Kulture Kreated and 850 Entertainment partner with event organizers to present Petal & Pulse, downtown Pensacola’s newest music festival highlighting the area’s best beats and drinks. Dance the day away during Friday night’s pregame event featuring DJ HDYCVT, DJ DR0nE and KHARMA, and Saturday will feature a day of additional local DJs, entertainment groups, bands and more. Bands on the Blackwater

Friday, Aug. 30, 7 p.m. Jernigan’s Landing, 5154 Willing St., Milton. Miss Flora-Bama 2024 Bikini Finale

The world-famous beach bar hosts several bikini contests each year around the Mullet Toss, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and the Labor Day finale. Her debut single, “I Hope,” was the first top 10 debut by a single woman on Hot Country Songs since October 2017. Fall Foliage Zipline Tours
