“We got off to a strong start, buying a $150,000 horse in the first few minutes. It was great to see the average and median improve from last year,” said Foster Bridewell, Sales Manager. “The best seller is an outstanding horse and we had a lot of quality throughout the catalog. This bodes well for our upcoming spring sale of 2-year-olds in training.”

The other horse that brought in six-figure sums was Hip 176, a Louisiana-bred colt by Collected from a non-running Candy ride Mare. She was sold for $100,000 from consignment by Scott Mallory, agent, to SBM, agent for Ken Reimer.

While Louisiana-bred animals took up most of the top-selling spots, Texas-bred animals also attracted attention, as two mares were born in the Lone Star State and sired by the Texas stallion Mr Speaker for $60,000 a piece.
