Funeral services for Gary Wayne Bone of Valliant, Oklahoma were held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Valliant. Gary passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 75. Gary Wayne Bone was born on September 24, 1948, to Bob Bone and Opal (Scott) Davis. His parents predeceased him.

Gary lived in McCurtain County, Oklahoma his entire life. After graduating from Broken Bow High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country honorably. After returning home, Gary worked for the Hugo Bus Barn for 12 years and as a mechanic for 31 years until he retired. Gary married his beloved wife, Janice Bone, on October 13, 2001 at their home in Valliant. He had an incredible faith in God and led the Sunday school class and church choir for over 10 years. In his free time, Gary enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a highly respected man, greatly cherished by his wife, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his wife Janice Bone, his son DeWayne Bone of Beauford, Georgia, his daughter Julie Riley of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, his brother Larry Bone of Broken Bow and his sister Tammy Fines of Idabel, Oklahoma, and numerous other family, friends and loved ones.

The funeral services were directed by the Miller & Miller funeral home.
