The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at self-dispensing stations in Los Angeles County fell three-tenths of a cent to $4.566 on Saturday.
The average price is the same as a week ago, 15.2 cents less than a month ago and 70.3 cents less than a year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has fallen by $1.928 since rising to a record high of $6.494 on October 5, 2022.
The average price in Orange County fell two-tenths of a cent to $4.497. That’s 1.7 cents more than a week ago, but 14.4 cents less than a month ago and 71.8 cents less than a year ago. The average price in Orange County has fallen $1.962 since rising to a record $6.459 on October 5, 2022.
The national average price fell 1.2 cents to $3.421. That’s 2.9 cents less than a week ago, 9.1 cents less than a month ago and 45.4 cents less than a year ago. The national average price has fallen $1.595 since rising to a record high of $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
“Summer is coming to an end, and so far gas prices have barely budged,” said Andrew Gross, national public relations manager for AAA. “But hurricane season still has a long way to go, so it’s too early to say pump prices have begun their usual fall slump.”
