Gasoline prices in Georgia continued to fall last week.
According to AAA’s weekly report, prices fell to an average of $3.15 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.
“Gas pump prices in Georgia continue to rise, which is great news for drivers,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA-The Auto Club Group. “This is due to low crude oil prices, which make it much easier to fill up your wallet. The tide could turn at any time. We must remember that we are still in the early stages of hurricane season and unpredictable things like storms or world events could shake things up and send oil prices higher again.”

The price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Cobb County is $3.223, about seven cents more than the national average.

Prices at the pump are falling
Since last Monday, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 6 cents to $3.35 (Subject to overnight changes). Reaching a price level not seen since March 6th. According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gas demand rose to 9.19 last week from 9.04 million barrels per day. Meanwhile, total domestic gasoline inventories fell to 220.6 million barrels from 222.2 million barrels, but gasoline production rose, averaging 9.8 million barrels per day. Weak gasoline demand, stable supply and low oil prices could lead to further price declines at the pump.
