Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has revealed a transformation of her dark hair on Instagram.
The star, who played Katy Armstrong in the ITV soap for five years, shared the new look on social media and joked that she had “returned to the dark side”.
“New hair,” she captioned the post, which showed off her black hair. “Back to the dark side! From the absolute best @natalieaustonhair.”

Georgia has since received praise in the comments, with one follower writing: “I absolutely love this!”
“Looooooove it, really suits you xx,” added another, while a third said: “Wow I like this.”
Meanwhile, in May, the actress spoke about her insecurities related to the disease vitiligo, in which parts of the skin lose pigment or color.
“Every time I go on holiday and get a nice tan, I see how far my vitiligo has spread, more than ever before,” Georgia explained in a selfie. “I’d be lying if I didn’t say it gets me down. It makes me feel super insecure sometimes.”

“But seeing how the people around me support me and still love me just as much fills my heart. I’ve noticed people staring at me, sniffing around curiously with their faces twisted, and then my heart sinks.”
The star added that she wanted to “give those people a friendly reminder to be kind,” adding that “the feelings it makes you feel are nothing compared to the feelings of the person wearing it.”
“I’m proud to be a voice for people like me who suffer from this disease. I struggle with my emotions every day,” she continued. “Today is one of those days where I remember there’s nothing I can do about it. So here we are, showing it in all its glory.”
