Get a great look at Universal’s newest hotel with direct access to Epic Universe

ORLANDO, Florida. – For the first time, guests of Universal Orlando Resort have direct hotel access to a theme park, and the Universal Helios Grand Hotel is an attraction in itself.

Like Epic Universe, the Universal Creative Team helped design the 500-room Loews Hotel on the theme park grounds. The majestic, Mediterranean-inspired hotel overlooks the lush gardens and scenic waters of Celestial Park.

In addition to the benefit of direct access, the resort offers peaceful sleeping arrangements, entertaining facilities and dining options, including a stunning rooftop bar.

According to Universal, once guests enter the hotel, they are “transported to a fantastical world in the palace of the Greek sun god Helios, adorned with beautiful details of celestial patterns, dazzling constellations and elegant yet casual Mediterranean design elements.”

The lobby’s magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows offer a first glimpse of Epic Universe overlooking Celestial Park.

The guest rooms and suites at Helios Grand Hotel are bright, inviting and warm, and many of the rooms offer fantastic views of Epic Universe.

Unique to the new hotel are the imaginative “How to Train Your Dragon” children’s suites, where young Vikings can take to the skies and rest among dragons in a colorful, Berk-inspired room.

The resort-style pool is the ultimate place to relax – complete with underwater speakers, poolside cabanas available for rent, a hot tub, poolside movies, recreational activities and more.

One of the hotel’s new dining venues, Flora Taverna is a full-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a lobby bar with a light and airy atmosphere – featuring an open kitchen with live cooking, Mediterranean comfort food, pizza ovens and outdoor seating overlooking Celestial Park.

Aurora Market is a takeaway outlet located in the Helios Grand Hotel, complete with a modern cafe and market offering freshly roasted coffee, small bites, snacks and desserts from morning to night.

Lotus Lagoon is a poolside bar and grill where guests can cool off with refreshing cocktails or non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy casual fare such as burgers, salads, sandwiches and more.

One of the biggest attractions of the Helios Grand Hotel is its sparkling and stylish rooftop lounge. Bar Helios.

From the ground, guests will see the golden dome on the hotel’s roof. Once inside, guests will be treated to 360-degree views of Epic Universe and beyond.

As guests sip handcrafted cocktails, they can look up and see a golden constellation ceiling above the bar. As for food, guests can enjoy creative tapas and familiar classics.


As with other Universal Orlando resorts, resort shuttles are available to transport guests to the theme parks and CityWalk.

Epic Universe is scheduled to open in 2025. Spanning 750 acres, it will be Universal’s largest theme park in the U.S. and will include the following worlds:

  • Super Nintendo World: Featuring popular characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong in an interactive gaming experience.
  • Dark Universe: A realm of myth and mystery where guests encounter the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein and traverse a dark landscape inhabited by monsters such as Dracula and the Wolf Man.
  • Heavenly Park: Thrilling rides, entertainment, dining, shopping and the Universal Helios Grand Hotel combine to create an amazing world of discovery and excitement.
