Get ready for a Barnyard Bash at the Children’s Festival at The Pavilion on November 9 and 10

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is transformed into a giant playground for the annual Children’s Festival presented by Texas Children’s Hospital—The Woodlands and the whole family is invited to have fun on the farm! Tickets for this year’s “Farm Festival” Festival, which is Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 10 from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities.

With performers on multiple stages, character meet-and-greets, a special toddler area just for the youngest festival-goers, arts and crafts, hands-on activities and exciting active adventures, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy on the unforgettable journey around the farm at the Pavilion!

Peppa Pig is making a splash in The Woodlands and will be dishing out lots of hugs and smiles throughout the festival weekend. Join Peppa Pig and her brother George as they celebrate their trip to America in mini performances full of laughter, music and of course snorts! After the shows, don’t miss the chance to meet Peppa Pig and take photos with her – remember to bring your camera to capture this special day! Go down to the STEAM stables There are many interactive and educational activities here that offer families the opportunity to learn in a fun, exploratory environment. Launch into space with Janet’s Planet, make glow-in-the-dark slime with Little Beakers, get up close and personal with real robots from Woodlands Robotics, and experience STEAM elements in a fun, new way with 1ST-Gen Scholars. There are other activities in this zone as well, including planting a sunflower and the petting zoo, where kids can try out real orchestral instruments.

Children are encouraged to unleash their inner artist and create their own egg-cellent masterpieces in the Creative cooperative. At the Pavilion Event Center, children will learn about lines, colors, shapes, patterns, unity, balance and more, using these elements to create a variety of imaginative creations. Children can discover the art of drawing in hands-on drawing classes offered by Young Rembrandts all weekend long. At the Jamboree Junction Arts Stage, families can sing along with princesses or spark their creativity during inspiring performances by local art groups.

Are you coming to the festival with a small child? Then you shouldn’t miss this. Lil’ Bitty Barn, a special “Festival within a Festival” for the youngest festival-goers ages 4 and under. Little ones will have plenty to do with musical performances, hands-on games and activities, free exploration of the Toddler Towns soft play area, and a special bounce house playground just for toddlers. Be sure to check out the schedule for the daily “Barnyard Bop” with Ms. Jan from The Woodlands Children’s Museum! This area also features the Comfort Lounge, a quiet and cozy place to relax, feed baby, and get organized, complete with a diaper changing area and private nooks for nursing mothers.

The Central Corral is your gateway to the Children’s Festival and home of the Community Stage! Experience student performers from around the world showcasing their hard-earned skills in a variety of shows and programs. Plus, stop by the Woodlands Children’s Museum booth for some fun!

Running, jumping, hopping, climbing and floating – Adventure Acres is full of adrenaline-fueled fun that kids of all ages will enjoy every second of. Look out for climbing walls, bungee jumpers, giant slides, inflatable games, petting animals and more!

A fan favorite, Mooing meadows is back bigger and better than ever. Learn about the inner workings of some of the best trucks, tractors and cars The Woodlands has to offer, then relax on the pavilion. Barnyard Express – a train ride full of surprises from the farm. Don’t forget to go out onto the lawn to Pasturelandwhere children can experience giant bubble games with the Texas Bubblers, build and fly their own farm animal kites, and take part in parachute races on the lawn.

Admission is $10 per person and includes all performances and activities. Children under 2 are free. All activities and performances are included in the admission price. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Preferred parking is available in the Town Center Garage on Six Pines Drive. Parking for this and most performing arts events is $10 per vehicle. On-site parking tickets can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and at the Pavilion box office. Guests may also park in one of five free parking lots on the southwest side of the Pavilion on Timberloch Place. The free, color-coded parking lots are connected to the Pavilion by sign-posted pathways that lead across the Waterway.
