Get ready for a ‘Night in Chester’ with the new community event

CHESTER, NJ — Looking for a summer evening to remember? Come to downtown Chester this Thursday for a new evening community event that brings fun and excitement to the heart of Chester.

The Historic Chester Business Association, which has been supporting Chester’s local businesses for over 48 years, invites the public to a special evening in the city.

This Thursday, community members can stroll through downtown Chester. The downtown area will remain open until 8:00 p.m., giving shoppers more time to explore all of the local stores and enjoy the evening.

Chester has over 80 boutiques as well as restaurants serving food and treats. In Chester’s downtown area, you’re likely to find something for everyone, from home decor to jewelry and clothing to toys, pet products and unique gifts.

According to officials, not only will stores stay open late, but there will also be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including live music.

Before you head to Chester, be sure to check out the HCBA’s 2023-2024 Shopping and Dining Guide, which includes information on Chester’s independently owned and operated shopping options.

Since 1975, the HCBA has sponsored a number of fun and lively public events each year, including one of the largest craft fairs in the country, an annual classic car show, a family-friendly Thanksgiving festival and numerous attractions during the holiday season.

These events, as well as Chester’s sprawling farms, lush parks and scenic countryside, continue to attract visitors from near and far.
