While Sal Frelick’s offensive numbers are certainly not where many would have expected them to be at this point in his career, he has had a solid road tour on both sides of the ball in St. Louis and Oakland.
With a batting average of .263/.333/.338 with two home runs, 24 RBIs and 16 steals in 118 games this season, he hit 7-for-20 with a double, a triple, an RBI, a steal and three runs in five games on his final road trip. He also played strong defense and capped it off with nine putouts and an assist in Friday night’s win over the A’s. According to Bally Sports Wisconsin, he was the first Brewer to hit those numbers in a game since 2001.
