Gordo calls DJ Mustard a “weird guy” with an ambiguous compliment

Gordo, who has collaborated with Drake several times over the years, trolled “Not Like Us” producer DJ Mustard on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, echoing similar comments Mustard made about Drake by calling him a “weird dude.” Despite that remark, he began the post with some strong praise for the 34-year-old.

“I will not tolerate any slander of DJ Mustard… The dude is a fucking legend… made several classics… and had one of the most iconic production gigs of all time… he’s just a weird dude,” Cordo wrote in his post. Mustard made the same comment about Drake when he was with the Los Angeles Timeslast week. “I don’t think I want to do a song with this guy,” he said at the time. “He’s a weird guy.”

Despite this comment, Gordo recently argued that Drake was not bothered by the outcome of this dispute with Kendrick Lamar. Speaking to People In July, the “Rich Baby Daddy” producer claimed Drake was “happy as f***.” “Since all this happened … I’ve seen him happier. It’s really weird. He’s pretty cheerful,” Gordo said. “On the internet, it’s like, ‘Oh, that photo, he’s all sad and stuff.’ That’s just a bad photo from a bad camera. But because it’s him, it gets scrutinized, like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. He looks a little droopy. He hasn’t been sleeping.’ But the guy is, to be honest, happy as f***. He’s relaxing.”
