Great Many receives .6 million in pre-funding to make hair growth solutions more accessible

Great Many, a New York City-based startup, has successfully raised $3.6 million in pre-funding to revolutionize hair loss treatment and provide a much-needed solution to both men and women struggling with this often-overlooked problem. While hair loss is often associated with men, many women also suffer from this condition, which can have a profound impact on their self-esteem and overall well-being.

The funding round was led by BrandProject, with additional investment from Midnight Venture Partners, Tonic Ventures and prominent angel investors. The capital will support the expansion of Great Many’s offerings, including a new product line and telehealth services aimed at making hair growth solutions more accessible nationwide.

Great Many was founded by beauty industry veterans Michael Pollak and Steve Klebanow, who recognized a gap in the market for high-quality, expert-developed hair growth solutions. “Over the past 10+ years, so many concepts have been launched to make skincare and aesthetics more accessible – from beauty salons to medical spas to cosmetic dermatologist offices. We know how important hair is to people, but this space still confuses them, is riddled with myths, and doesn’t offer them a comprehensive solution,” say Pollak and Klebanow. “Great Many is the home of hair growth and is 100% dedicated to providing expert-led, personalized hair growth plans – revolutionizing hair health in the same way that specialized clinics have done for skincare. We’re excited for people to have a plan and a partner to maximize their hair’s potential.”

The company’s NoHo-based flagship studio offers a variety of treatments, including Plasma Hair Restoration (PRP), which is clinically proven to promote hair density and extend the lifespan of existing hair. This treatment is especially important for women, as they often experience hair loss due to hormonal changes, medical conditions, or stress. PRP and other treatments available at Great Many offer a non-surgical, clinically proven option that can be life-changing for anyone struggling with hair loss.

In addition, Great Many is launching its own line of hair care products under its GrowthFactor Formula designed to promote hair growth and maintain scalp health. This line, along with the company’s new telemedicine services, will allow women across the country to access expert advice and effective hair loss treatments from the comfort of their own home.

“Hair loss is an all too familiar problem that is stigmatized in both men and women and is central to most people’s identities. The multi-billion dollar hair loss prevention market is notoriously full of over-promises and confusion, leaving consumers hopeless,” says Andrew Black, Founder and Managing Partner of BrandProject. “Great Many is here to change that with its holistic, one-stop-shop solution where people receive comprehensive, science-backed products and treatments in-studio, all supported by leading medical hair experts. We are excited to be among Great Many’s first investors and to support the extraordinary founders Steve and Michael on their journey to reinvent hair growth.”

For women, the psychological impact of hair loss can be particularly severe. It can affect their confidence and self-image and even lead to social withdrawal. By offering a combination of cutting-edge treatments, personalized care and accessible telehealth options, Great Many addresses not only the physical symptoms of hair loss, but also the emotional and psychological challenges that come with it.

“PRP treatments and future treatments that Great Many will offer will be a life-changing service for many men and women in NYC and across the country,” says Lukas Keindl, co-founder of BondVet.
