(Greensburg, IN) – The Greensburg School Board has approved leasing space at the Greensburg Learning Center on Central Avenue to a company seeking to provide child care.

All 4 Kids currently operates daycare centers in Batesville, Brookville, St. Leon and Lawrenceburg.

Superintendent Tom Hunter says the school district and All 4 Kids have been discussing this for several months and have now reached an agreement on a lease.

Hunter says that because the learning center has enough space, All 4 Kids can use eight classrooms and serve 200 children ranging in age from infancy to four years old.

He adds that this will help solve a critical problem throughout southeast Indiana.

“Child care is such a big, big concern, especially for working-class parents,” Hunter said. “We want to be a good partner to the community and we think this is one way to do that.”

Hunter adds that the company will not compete with other providers in the region.

“There is plenty of room for child care providers in Decatur County,” he said.

The facilities will be modernized to meet the needs of the daycare, including remodeling and the installation of additional exits and toilets in the classrooms.

Before All 4 Kids takes over the premises, a few more details need to be clarified.

The space was previously used primarily by Ivy Tech Community College for in-person adult classes.
