Here you can park for free near the beaches of Central Florida

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Florida. – Let’s go to the beach!

Some beaches charge a fee for parking on or off the beach, but we’ve put together a list of free parking spots for you to check out if you’re planning a fun day.

Here is information about free parking at some Central Florida beaches:

Flagler Beach

Bottlenose dolphins

  • Where: N. Central Avenue and N. 5th Street

  • Cost: Free.

Loggerhead turtle quantity

  • Where: N. Central Avenue and N. 4th Street

  • Cost: Free.

Pelican Property

  • Where: S. Oceanshore Boulevard and S. 5th Street

  • Cost: Free.

Osprey Lot

  • Where: S. Daytona Avenue and S. 5th Street

  • Cost: Free.

Right Whale Lot

  • Where: S. Central Avenue and S. 8th Street

  • Cost: Free.

In addition to these free public parking areas, there are many permitted parking areas along the east and west sides of A1A. Please pay attention to the dune signs that clearly indicate where you can and cannot park. Then use the beach walkways (stairs) that are located on almost every block to access the beach.

Cocoa Beach

Free public parking

  • 103 N. Atlantic Ave.

  • 217 N. Orlando Ave.

Most street parking in Downtown Cocoa Beach is metered. However, some are free. To find them, you can use the SpotAngels map before navigating to your desired area.

Daytona Beach

Free public parking

  • 101 S. Palmetto Ave.

  • 150 Magnolia Ave.

  • International Speedway Boulevard

  • 131 Magnolia Ave.

There is also free parking on the street. To find the free parking, you can use the SpotAngels map before navigating to your desired area.

New Smyrna Beach

Hiles Blvd. Parking off the beach

  • Furnishing: Toilets and outdoor showers.

  • Where: 4516 S. Atlantic Ave.

  • Cost: Free.

  • Hours: Open daily from 5am to 11pm

Mary McLeod Bethune Beach Park

  • Furnishing: Restrooms, outdoor showers, large picnic pavilions and beach walkways.

  • Where: 6656 S. Atlantic Ave.

  • Cost: Free.

  • Hours: Open daily from 5am to 11pm

South Pine Parking Lot

  • Where: Located next to the Coronado Civic Center at 105 N. Pine St.

  • Cost: Free.

Jasmine Avenue Parking

  • Where: Located next to the Garden Arts Shop at 407 Flagler Ave.

  • Cost: Free.

Juliastrasse car park

  • Where: Located behind the Corkscrew Bar and Grille at 235 Canal Street.

  • Cost: Free.

Sams Avenue Parking Lot

  • Where: Located at the intersection of Sams Avenue and Canal Street.

  • Cost: Free.

South Orange Parking

  • Where: Located at the intersection of Downing Street and South Orange Street.

  • Cost: Free.

There is also additional free parking along Flagler Avenue and Canal Street. However, many beachfront parking lots offer self-service kiosks for daily parking or a staffed entrance gate. Be sure to look for signage with applicable time restrictions where free parking is available.
