Every time hip hop fans count drake out, he’s back with new music. On Tuesday (August 6), the Canadian star debuted three surprise tracks via a lesser-known Instagram account called @plottttwistttttt.
The recordings consisted of the 21 Savage and Young Thug-assisted “It’s Up,” “Blue Green Red,” and “Housekeeping Knows” featuring Latto. The latter cut was released alongside a VHS-style visual project featuring the Atlanta rapper and her sister, Brooklyn Nicole. The 2017 track “Ride Da Stick” by DJ Ttime was also sampled.
Drake also launched a website, 100gigs.org, entitled “100 Gigs for Your Headtop.” It notably featured an extensive selection of unreleased content, including excerpts from his Certified Loverboy Sessions and other exclusive materials such as graphics and concept ideas.
The drop was a huge hit on social media, especially with all the nostalgic videos and throwbacks. “Drake could’ve kept all this content to make a crazy HBO documentary one day but instead he’s bringing this crap to his fans for FREE. This (damn thing) is too real,” one Twitter user wrote. Another said, “Drake is leaning on the people who stuck with him throughout this whole feud.” See more reactions below.

Drake leans on the people who stuck with him throughout the whole fight. 21 Savage, Young Thug, Party, Big Sexyy, Latto… I’m not mad at him keeping the circle tight and rewarding the people who stayed down

Interestingly, Drake’s “It’s Up” sparked a debate about whether 21 Savage was casting a shadow on Kendrick Lamar. In the song’s second verse, the Atlanta rapper dropped lines like, “Made a couple songs, find him hot now / Beat his ass; he thinks he’s Pac now.” However, his manager, Justin “Meezy” Williams, has since spoken out and dismissed the speculation, according to DJ Akademiks.
During a Twitch live streamthe media personality explained. “He said, ‘This is definitely not an attack on Kendrick.’ He literally said that this shit wouldn’t make sense because Kendrick has more than one hit or a couple of songs. He has a lot of songs, so you (people) can stay calm. 21 didn’t insult Kendrick.”
In addition to the new music and footage, Drake recently hinted that Joint project with PARTYNEXTDOORSet for release in the fall, it will expand their long list of collaborative works that includes records such as “Come and See Me,” “Recognize,” and “LOYAL.”
