Rain is never ideal during the Iowa State Fair, but there could be a few showers during the first full week. There could be some rain in Des Moines between 1 and 4 p.m. on Monday. There’s a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Tuesday night and a 60 percent chance of rain Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
