Country music lovers have the opportunity to see multi-platinum songwriter and artist Chris Janson in the capital.
The Topeka Performing Arts Center announced that Janson will be performing in Topeka as part of his “Whatcha See is Whatcha Get” tour. The concert will take place on November 1st at 7:30 p.m.
Shawn Brian, marketing and ticket coordinator for the Topeka Performing Arts Center, said TPAC staff is excited to bring on a young and dynamic artist. He said Janson will put on a show.
“All generations will enjoy his performance style and the energy he brings,” Brian told the Capital-Journal.
Where can you buy a ticket to see Chris Janson in Topeka?
Tickets for a live performance by Janson should be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Topeka Performing Arts Center box office, 214 SE 8th St. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are expected to range from $39 to $69, with additional fees that may apply, the press release said.
Rolling Stone called Janson a “live legacy in the making,” and Janson is a frequent presence at the country’s biggest country festivals, tours and unexpected sit-ins, according to a press release from VenuWorks. VenuWorks is the Ames, Iowa-based management company that operates the city-owned facility for the nonprofit Topeka Performing Arts Center.
Janson has several number one songs, including “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes,” and “Buy Me a Boat.”

Brian said he would be happy if the show was sold out.
“With the support of Topeka and as many country fans as we have, I think we can do it,” he said. “So, Topekans, you need to go out and buy some tickets.”
