How to get Escape From Tarkov Twitch drops for the Summer Wipe

For the first time in a long time, Twitch Drops are back for the Escape from Tarkov Summer Wipe, meaning you can get some free in-game items just for watching your favorite streamers.

Twitch usually comes by Escape from Tarkov are reserved for the end-of-year wipe, which is usually a bit bigger than the summer wipe we just got. This time around, however, likely in an attempt to lure players back after the Unheard Edition controversy earlier this year, summer drops are returning and some top-notch loot is being offered to viewers.

With the servers now somewhat stabilizing and players getting through the opening quests, Twitch Drops will be released soon. The campaign starts today, August 23rd, at 2pm BST / 9am EDT. The Twitch Drops campaign will then run until August 28th, 2pm BST / 9am EDT, giving you plenty of time to earn your free loot.

To get Escape from Tarkov To participate in Twitch Drops, you need to do a few things. First, you need a Twitch account, a Escape from Tarkov account and have the two on the official Tarkov Website. Once you link the accounts, you can watch eligible streamers.

However, during the Drops campaign, each streamer only has two drop periods, so you can’t just watch Pestily on your PC all day every day and get the drops. The full schedule is here, so you can look for streamers who have drops at any point during the event.

If you find a streamer who has Drops enabled, you simply need to watch their stream for a certain amount of time. Usually, the first drops are available after an hour of watching a stream with Drops enabled, but that might change for this event. After you earn a Drop, you will receive a notification on Twitch and need to go to the Drops page to claim the item. Once you click the claim button, the item will be awarded to you in Escape from Tarkov.

While we don’t know exactly what items you’ll get through the drops, we do know that some things can affect the rarity of the items you receive. On the first day, there will be common, rare, and legendary drops, but there will also be a challenge that all streamers must complete in the drops. If they complete two parts of the challenge, the next day’s drops will be legendary, if they complete one part of the challenge, the drops will be rare, and if they fail to complete one of the parts, the drops will be common.
