play

Taco Bell is giving away a limited edition Stanley Cup mug, but don’t worry—you don’t have to storm every Target to get one.

The free Stanley Cups will be given away through the Taco Bell app starting August 13 at 2 p.m. PDT. Here’s why.

Why is Taco Bell giving away a Stanley Cup?

Mountain Dew and Taco Bell celebrate 20th anniversaryth anniversary of Baja Blast, the tropical lime-flavored soft drink created exclusively for Taco Bell, USA TODAY reported.

As part of the “Bajaversary,” Taco Bell app members have a chance to win a free limited-edition Stanley cup. Just keep an eye on the “Tuesday Drops” section of the app, as the cups are only available to the first 100 members to take advantage of the offer, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Oh, and the first 20 rewards members to redeem the offer will also get a free Baja Blast for a year in the form of a $200 Taco Bell gift card, says the Enquirer.

Where did Taco Bell start?

The chain, known for its Crunchwraps and Doritos Locos tacos, started in 1962 in Downey, Los Angeles County, according to Yum Brands, which is also behind other fast-food brands such as KFC and Pizza Hut. Taco Bell has over 8,000 restaurants worldwide.
