How to repair items in 7 Days to Die

7 days to die contains a variety of craftable items, from tools for gathering materials to weapons and armor for defense. However, every item in the game has a specific durabilityWith repeated use these tools, weapons or armor will become less durable and when they reach the end of their lifespan they will no longer function.

However, just because an item is damaged or has lost its durability does not mean it is useless. All of these items can be repaired and reused. Repairing an item requires fewer resources than crafting it, allowing players to save important resources for other activities.

Once repaired, the item reaches its maximum durability and is as good as new. Players do not have to throw away an item and go through the process of gathering resources and crafting again.

Each item requires certain materials to repair. For example, the Stone Axe can only be repaired with small stones. The materials needed to repair the item can be found on the information tab (book icon).

However, items that you have looted or for which you have not yet unlocked recipes cannot be repaired until the blueprints are unlocked. This issue can occur with weapons in the early stages of the game.

Once you have gathered the necessary resources, follow these steps to repair an item:

  1. Open the inventory and click on the item you want to repair.
  2. Once you have collected enough resources to repair the items in your inventory, you will find the Repair button directly below the Modify button.
  3. Click the Repair button and the item will be repaired. Some items may take longer to repair than others.

However, unlike most tools or weapons, items like doors, walls, and building blocks require a different method of repair. These blocks can be repaired by holding tools like the axe or hammer and pressing the right mouse button while pointing the crosshair at the damaged item or block. This will start the repair process for the damaged items, but you need to make sure you have enough resources in your inventory to restore them.
