How to watch and stream the Paris Olympics closing ceremony live and free online without cable on NBC

Bye, Seine. Hello traffic congestion!

The 2024 Olympic Games come to a close tonight. With a final Parisian hurrah and a Hollywood hello, Paris passes the torch to Los Angeles, where the 2028 Games will take place. The handover is a final chance for Paris to celebrate what has been widely described as a magnificent Olympic Games, with outstanding performances by several athletes, including Simone Biles and Katie Ledecky, and a chance for LA to give the world a taste of what to expect four years from now.

And the Californian city seems to be turning to its cinematic roots: There are numerous reports that Tom Cruise will make a big appearance at the closing ceremony and perform a stunt.

While the closing ceremonies are generally not as watchable as the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, they are still a celebration of the Games, bringing the athletes together. And Olympic fever has run high with the Paris Games. According to Nielsen, nearly 29 million viewers watched the opening ceremony in Paris on July 26. That’s an increase of more than 60% from the 2021 Tokyo Games, which were postponed due to the pandemic.

So you can follow the celebrations with or without cable.
