The season begins with a massive midweek clash of top-20 teams when No. 3 UCLA, newly joined by the Big 10 Conference, hosts No. 16 BYU in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The Bruins left the Pac 12 during last year’s mass exodus and have now come together in a new lineup for the upcoming season.
Led by a rock-solid defense that includes two-time reigning Pac-12 Defender of the Year Lilly Reale, UCLA has won all four of its opening games without conceding a single goal, defeating Long Beach State, UC Riverside, Cal Poly and Santa Clara along the way.
For the Bruins, the competition will be a huge step up this time around, as they face a highly ranked BYU team that missed two draws in the first few weeks but earned a spot in last year’s College Cup.
