TV fans will do a double take when they find out who this famous British actress is.
The star was photographed after removing her makeup and undergoing a hair transformation – and she is barely recognizable.
The lady is Sheridan Smith, but fans would be forgiven for not noticing because of her beautiful brown hair and thick, heavy bangs.
Sheridan’s new hairstyle was captured on camera by her boyfriend, soap star Charley Webb, who is best known for his role as Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale.
The girls are great friends and Charley, 36, couldn’t wait to snap a photo with her star pals Gavin and Stacey during a fun day at the arcades.
Charley shared the photo on her Instagram stories, posting a “fire” emoji and telling her followers: “The girl looks amazing with her new bangs.”

Charley’s photo of 43-year-old Sheridan’s new hairstyle was taken after their recent girls’ holiday together.
The friends flew abroad for a holiday in the sun last month and had a wild time.
Cilla actress Sheridan was photographed wearing a little black dress on her first night out as they hit the local bars.
Charley, who played Debbie in “Emmerdale” from 2010 to 2016, also looked really glamorous in a mini dress.
The girls, who are both mothers of young children, stayed in a stunning villa with their own pool and spent their days sunbathing and chatting.
They also filmed a funny clip of themselves dancing in black bikini tops and shorts in front of a wing mirror.
This Christmas we will see the return of Gavin and Stacey for the last episode ever, but the plot is being kept secret.
The Christmas special has been confirmed by show creators and stars James Corden and Ruth Jones, but not much is known about the plot.
Matthew Horne, Joanna Page, Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman return to our screens to reprise their roles as Gavin, Stacey, Mick and Pam.
There is no official confirmation whether Sheridan will return as Smithy’s sister Rudi, although insiders say she will be there.
A source had previously told the Sunday Mirror: “The script for Gavin & Stacey: The Finale includes all of the show’s main actors – including Smithy’s sister Rudi.”
The insider added: “(Sheridan) didn’t appear in the Christmas special because her character wasn’t part of that storyline, but this time it was a different story.”
“Everyone is very excited about this episode – it’s going to be a phenomenal finale for the show and that’s exactly what it deserves.”
“Sheridan and James are still friends – they met recently at the Variety Club Awards and got on really well. So there’s hope she can be there.”
“Gavin and Stacey” ran from 2007 to 2010, with the first Christmas special broadcast on BBC One in 2008.
Gavin and Stacey’s best moments
Gavin and Stacey’s best moments
With the news that the show is making an exciting return to screens soon, we want to take a look at some of the comedy show’s biggest and best moments…
- Smithy and Rudi’s American Boy Rap – No one will ever forget James Corden and Sheridan Smith rapping Kanye West’s song “American Boy” word for word and Estelle singing it across the parking lot on the phone.
- Pam’s vegetarian faux pas – Although Pam loves cheeseburgers, she gets caught in a web of unexpected lies when she claims to be a vegetarian. She is forced to keep the secret throughout the show, and enlists her husband Mick to help her devour meat. She is later caught red-handed when Stacey catches her devouring ham in the kitchen. Stacey tells her, “Is that ham, Pam? … I’ve seen you, Pam. A scotch egg here, a bit of bacon there, and you put those regular sausages in the Linda McCartney box.”
- THIS fishing trip – What exactly happened on the ill-fated fishing trip remains one of the biggest mysteries in Gavin and Stacey’s story. Bryn appears to have a secret about an incident between him and his nephew Jason that has caused a rift in the relationship. Ness’ on-off boyfriend Dave is the only other person who knows the full truth. Bryn seemed to allude to him and Jason lying naked together to keep warm when he told Dave: “We’re going to settle this once and for all, man to man. You may know what happened, David, but you don’t know why it happened! It was freezing, really! And when you’re that cold…”
- Islands in the stream – No one will ever forget the classic karaoke performance of “Islands in the Stream”. Nessa and Bryn performed the song in front of all their loved ones. The whole pub line danced and enjoyed a boozy evening.
- The Christmas special proposal – In 2019, fans were overjoyed when the show made a comeback, but it ended on the ultimate cliffhanger. Nessa asked Smithy to marry him, finally revealing her feelings to him. Fans were devastated when the show then went straight to the credits, as they never found out what Smithy had answered. Will everything be revealed in the brand new episode?
In 2019, the show returned with another Christmas special, but Sheridan’s character Rudi did not appear.
Fans are eagerly awaiting a conclusion after the huge cliffhanger that ended the series – when Nessa (played by Ruth Jones) proposed to Smithy (James Corden) on the street.
Last month, James broke down in tears while discussing the final episode in an interview on Virgin Radio.
He told host Chris Evans: “Last night we thought, ‘Oh, that’s it. We’re done. We’re never going to write anything Pam says again.
“We will never write the inside of Gwen’s house.
“We’ll never find anything interesting that Bryn did.”
“We just looked at each other and thought, ‘Wow – isn’t this incredible?'”
The final Gavin and Stacey video will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.
