The Los Angeles County Museum of Art presents LA’s best jazz musicians with “Jazz at LACMA,” which takes place every Friday evening from May to October and is free of charge. The “Urban Light” installation at the entrance to LACMA serves as a backdrop for the musicians.
The museum offers “fresh and healthy combo meals” for adults and children. Both indoor and outdoor seating includes sandwiches, a salad bar, baked goods and hot meals, including a “special kids’ menu with a build-your-own lunch box for $7.”
How relaxed is it? According to the museum, “dogs are allowed in the museum’s outdoor area.”
Parking for LACMA is available in the Pritzker Parking Garage on 6th Street, east of Fairfax Avenue.
And another note about the famous Urban Light exhibition: “There is no set time of day when the lights are turned on – Urban Light is controlled by an astronomical timer and turns on at dusk and off at dawn,” the museum says.
