“I have bigger fish to fry”

ASAP Rocky has no interest in having a text war with Drake.

The rapper from Harlem recently made this clear in an interview with Billboardand insisted that his issues with Drizzy were, by and large, trivial.

“You have to realize that certain n****s have been shooting at each other for years,” Rocky told the magazine. “I’m not in the middle of that shit. That’s not how I react now. I’ve got bigger things to do than be a bunch of wimps. There’s real bickering out there. It’s real. N****s get shot at and bombed every day. N****s shoot at n****s every day. This little shit ain’t got nothing to do with nothing.”

These comments come nearly a year after Drake seemingly took aim at Rocky in “Fear of Heights,” a standout song from his eighth studio album. For all dogs. Many were convinced that Drake was representing Rocky and his long-time partner Rihanna. “I’ve had way worse women than you, to be honest with you,” he rapped in the song. “That man’s still with you, he can’t leave you. Y’all on vacation, I bet it’s the West Indies.”

The drama spilled over into 2024 after Rocky appeared on Kid Cudi’s song “Wow” and questioned why an unnamed person was “making a scene” before referencing the medicinal plant “Mandragora.”

“My bae got the glizzy, keep the receipt if it’s beef,” Rocky rapped. “Chef Boyardee, with the latest Goyard/ Me and my vamp bae got our own handshake/ These n****s can’t stand me, I gotta get me a Mandrake.”

And the subs didn’t end there. Fans were convinced that Rocky fired more shots at Drake during Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands.” Listeners suspected that the ASAP Mob’s de facto boss was alluding to him having sex with Drake’s baby mama Sophie Brussaux before she was born.
