“I still rock with Drake”

Although hip-hop fans have crowned Kendrick Lamar the winner of his feud with Drake, Stephen Curry has not switched sides when it comes to the 6 God.

To promote his upcoming Peacock series, Mr Throwbackthe point guard of the Golden State Warriors was interviewed by GQwhere he was asked for his opinion on the Kendrick-Drake feud. Over the course of the spring, the two artists exchanged several diss tracks, with Curry being mentioned in Kendrick’s song “Meet the Grahams.” In the song, K. Dot alluded to Curry and LeBron James’ friendship with Drizzy, warning both to “stay the family away.”

But the lyrics may have made Curry support Drake more, as he said GQ“I’m a big Drake guy.”

He continued, “I have been for a long time. I think you obviously know what it means to the rap industry to have something like that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

Curry was clearly not Team Kendrick this year, complaining last month that Kendrick’s Billboard hit “Not Like Us” wasn’t the “only song in America.”

Other basketball stars such as the aforementioned James, Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozen performed at Kendrick’s Pop Out concert in June. The latter, who also appeared in the music video for “Not Like Us,” told the Sacramento Bee The he still considers Drake his “man”.

“It’s so easy to get overlooked and take it for what it seems, but at the end of the day, it’s music, entertainment,” DeRozen told the publication. “Two of the biggest rappers in the world approached it from a competitive standpoint and battled it out.”
