Larson fuelled the debate this week when he told FloRacing: “I know in my head that I am better than him (Verstappen) as an all-round driver.” Happy Hour The quartet comment on which of the two elite riders they think is better.
The guys also predict which of the drivers currently in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs could win their first title. The favorites are Christopher Bell, William Byron, Denny Hamlin and Tyler Reddick. Then they discuss whether Austin Dillon has a chance to overturn NASCAR’s decision not to count his win at Richmond Raceway toward playoff eligibility when the appeals board hears the case.
It didn’t take much for Corey LaJoie’s car to blow up when he spun out at Michigan International Speedway on Monday (Aug. 19). Is this something NASCAR should be worried about? The guys give their opinion.

Trey Lyle, a Virginia Tech graduate in sports media and analysis, has been covering NASCAR since 2021 as producer of “Fast Lane” with Ed Lane on VTRN Sports 93.3 FM in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Trey joined FS in 2023 to host Happy Hour and help out in the podcast space as a producer on Brining the Heat with Bryan Nolen. He now oversees all podcast operations for Frontstretch.

Caleb started sports journalism at The Liberty Champion in 2023, where he officially covered his first NASCAR race in Richmond in the spring. It was there that Caleb met some of the guys at Frontstretch and joined the video editing team after earning degrees in strategic communications and sports journalism from Liberty University. Caleb currently works full-time as a multimedia journalist at LEX 18 News in Lexington, Kentucky, contributing writing and video editing to Frontstretch.
