I’ve seen a lot of hair growth by using a serum and a DIY mix – and my zigzag method makes my curls fuller

A woman suffering from hair loss has revealed her favorite serum and a DIY tip for lengthening her locks – as well as a trick to fake fuller hair.

By adding some of her own magic to a popular hair find, she helped tame the mane.

Reddit user Watdoyoumeen shared how she saved her hair, including her favorite store-bought serum and a DIY method for at-home use.

“I use The Ordinary’s Peptide Density Serum on my hairline every night and also massage a rosemary/thyme water into my scalp once or twice a day,” she said.

She explained that there was a method behind her mixing madness.

“I boil the herbs with water, strain them and put them in a spray bottle,” she said.

Whatever path you take, one element is, in her opinion, the “key”: consistency.

“I’ve seen a lot of hair growth doing this, but I’ve been doing this consistently for probably a year and a half,” she added.

When asked how often she repeats the process, she revealed that she washes her hair every four to five days.

She was also satisfied with the consistency of both dishes.

“The rosemary water actually doesn’t make my hair greasy at all! And the regular product is a serum, but not greasy,” she said.

She makes sure to apply the product only to the areas where hair needs to grow back.

Don’t underestimate a “hard” method to stimulate hair growth, says an expert – there are also some home remedies

For optimal results, massage the serum into her entire scalp the evening before “wash day.”

If you want to try it for yourself, Sephora sells The Ordinary’s Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density for $22.80.

The concentrated serum is designed to help restore the volume of your hair and give it additional density.

FAKE THIS VOLUME

She also knows a few other tricks to create the impression of larger curls.

“I started doing a zigzag part, which gives the impression that I have fuller hair,” she said.

“You can also try shorter layers to get more fullness!” she added.

Other Reddit users shared their own methods for growing their mane.

“I’ve had good luck with oral minoxidil,” one said.

“I would say take a very comprehensive multivitamin like Centrum Women’s.

“My hair is pretty thick, but even the slightly thinning areas at my temples are starting to fill in.”
