Jared McCain saves “GOAT” Drake with a bitter memory of Kendrick Lamar after the harsh verdict in America

Jared McCain, the 16th pick in this year’s draft, will join a dynamic trio of PG13, Maxey and Embiid on the Sixers. The welcome party for the former Blue Devil came early, however, as he recently met with Paul George in his pod. Now, the younger generation is poised to take over the leagueand names like ANT, Luka and Haliburton have already given insights into the futureBut with the newer generation comes the modern pop culture which connects the Hoopers more than ever with the booming rap industry.

Gamers often hang out with major artists and even show interest in releasing their own tracks or even diss tracks, as we saw when Jaylen Brown attacked Nike. Still, one of the most notable events in the music industry in recent history was the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The two major rappers released several diss tracks to each other in an attempt to appease the hate. However, the narrative slowly shifted to Americans siding with KDot while others supported the Canadian veteran. But not Jared McCain.

The newbie leans more towards Drake than Kendrick. He explained: “I used to sing in front of everyone, that’s what I did, sometimes I sing Pharrell and Drake, shoutout Drake, that’s the GOAT. Let’s get a round of applause for Drake…”

“I mean, yeah, I don’t have to go with Drake, but that’s my guy. I was at the concert when Kendrick opened for him.”McCain continued Podcast POf course, McCain stayed true to himself, but KDot may have had the last laugh in the argument.

Kendrick Lamar’s latest diss on Drake, “Not Like Us,” peaked at number 100 on the Billboard Top 100 and has over 500 million streams on Spotify! Still, it was Jared McCain’s brother who made him listen to Drake’s songs more than any other artist. But looking back on the feud, the Sixers rookie isn’t alone in saying he’s on the side of Kevin Durant’s best friend in the music industry.

Players like Steph and KD were close friends of Drake and may have sided with him during the dispute. the Slim Reaper Steph has never revealed whether he takes sides and lets his actions speak for themselves, he told GQ: “I’m a huge Drake fan. I have been for a long time. I think you obviously know what it means for the rap industry to have something like that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely.” The US national team also played “Not Like Us” after their victory in the friendly match against Canada, which was a big dig at the local rapper.

In July, Drake showed his loyalty to three NBA stars out of the blue. While no one expected any action or reaction from either side, the Canadian rapper posted three different pictures of Steph Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Kevin Durant!

Coming back to the present, PG seemed to be a huge KDot fan from his reaction. He will certainly have different music tastes than rookie Jared McCain, as the two will likely get along well in Philly. It will be interesting to see if the young gun changes his mind about his GOAT pick.
