Jerry Jones: Nobody can be a better GM than me

Jerry Jones praises himself after signing wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

In an interview with sports reporter Clarence Hill of ALLDLLS.com, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys described himself as virtually irreplaceable.

He doesn’t believe anyone could do the job better than him.

“I’ve done everything. So I’m absolutely convinced that if anybody can figure out how to get this shit done, I can do it,” Jones said. “So hell no, there’s no fucking guy that could come in here and do all the contracts … and be a better GM than me.”

Jones has owned the team since 1989.

During his tenure, the Cowboys went 28 consecutive seasons without an NFC championship.

Even if the team doesn’t win championships, it is the most valuable sports franchise in the world.

In a recent report by online sports business magazine Sportico, the Cowboys were ranked as the most valuable team in the NFL and the first sports franchise in the world to be valued at over $10 billion.

“Jerry is not necessarily the best GM, but he is the best promoter. He is the PT Barnum of the NFL,” said FOX 4’s Mike Doocy. “Winning Super Bowls, yes, anyone can do that. But to develop a team that doesn’t win Super Bowls and turn it into one of the most profitable franchises in the world, Jerry is second to none.”

What do you think? Is Jerry Jones the Cowboys’ best general manager? And will the team finally make it this season?

The first game against the Browns will take place next Sunday in Cleveland.
