Now, hairstylist Adir Abergel has debuted a fresh, summer-ready version of her blunt bob in an Instagram post. From the sun-kissed, caramel-colored tips that frame her face to the very soft, textured layers, it’s the embodiment of mid-summer hairstyle inspiration.
Falling somewhere between a razor-sharp straight bob (straight hair with no movement) and a textured “choppy” bob (tousled, layered and wavy), Biel’s summer hairstyle looks effortless and beachy. “It’s a great evolution for anyone who doesn’t want to commit to micro-short hair or who is growing out a length of hair. It’s flattering and offers a lot of style versatility,” explains celebrity hairstylist Sam McKnight, MBE.
When creating, focus on creating volume in the middle with a tool, or to maintain the beachy texture, simply apply a salt spray to mimic the tousled effect. “To make this hairstyle look modern, leave the ends a little slicker and then tilt your head down. Spray some Cool Girl (Barely There Texture Mist) into the roots and through the hair for quick volume. You can even flip your part to the other side for instant volume,” explains McKnight.
